Why do guys wear sunglasses in front of girls?

So my crush always wears sunglasses and fools around. He wears all types of sunglasses and at the same time he is looking at me. So im curious why do guys wear sunglasses in front of girls (when i dont look at him he takes them off)

Just a personal preference. Might make him feel cool, spare his eyes a bit. Perhaps he likes seeing you in two different shades?
Personally my eyes are one of my more appealing traits so I prefer showing them.

Of course the ability to check someone out more covertly is a nice little perk, although I doubt it is a primary reason.
