Anyone else feel disgusted being around weak & pathetic men?

Question

A few of my soldiers have girlfriends & wives, yet, they would and were doing disrespectful things at the club last night to tarnish their relationships had their partners knew what did they were doing or wanted to do.

If their girlfriends/wives were there, they wouldn’t have approved of their behavior.

If you can’t be respectful or loyal to your partner even when they’re not with you then you’re a weak/coward fuck.

Also, these dudes were getting on me about NOT drinking.

I don’t drink.

These guys don’t train, rarely actually, yet they get on my case about not drinking and “having fun.”

Club isn’t my scene. Drinking isn’t what I like.

So many soldiers in my unit are absolute shitbags.

They don’t train, but they like
To party hard.

Some talk shit behind others’ backs.

Some talk too much and are obnoxious and annoying, like they’re trying to compensate for something.

I invited any one of them to come where I sleep since they all know where I sleep/live and strap up the gloves so they can get sum.

I just hate fake, pathetic, weak, and cowardly men.

Yeah sounds fairly familiar,

you go near any garrison town in the UK, such as Aldershot, Catterick.

Go to any of the large towns or cities close to them and invariably there are fights among service people of various arms.

Playing hard and working hard is pretty much a military ethos.

A guy who is out getting drunk with his mates and even fighting within them, will likely be the person who dives on that IED etc.

long careers in the military and long marriages are like hens teeth, they do happen but really rare.

Also up until say 30 (assuming a 12 year contract) it’s all about having fun and living it up.

This is even more so at a training unit, our main one for the army is Catterick in North Yorkshire, the nearest town is Darlington and it’s awash with trainees at times, young dumb and full of cum.

the hard part is striking a happy balance between oblivion and burn out due to partying or oblivion and burn out due to training too much.

I think the Romans had exactly the same issues and if humanity is still around in a 1000 years, it will still be a thing. The thing is as a person in the military, no one really likes you, it’s not a job to be liked for, over here we could not wear uniform openly as it was classed as too much of a risk, admittedly short hair and certain way of walking kinda gives it away lol.

It’s always hard to say if someone in the military is weak or pathetic until the chips are down, people often surprise us with their actions when faced with the shit hitting the fan.

I must admit I did pick up on the irony of this comment.

Yeah, but my definition of weak and pathetic is probably a little different. And that definition is simply "afraid." Not like existential terror - you aren't fully human if you dont have that. I mean like needing to be part of an armed herd to feel safe around strangers because of the risk they don't share our values. Or getting mad in advance of the chance that they might try to take our stuff. It's all so weak and strange to be insecure about other people. Like, humans are the things we should be able to trust the most in this universe.

*I have a (former) friend who has been in my life for 20 years and I trust him less than a stranger and he's such a piece of shit you'd be amazed. It takes a lot for me to say that about someone and he's always like "you're my bro, known each other for 20 years, etc." and I'm like "and you've stolen tons of money off my, we're talking thousands, both times I tried to help, stole my car once, got a cop to point a shotgun at me once, and that's just some of the bullshit". Plus he's sort of a borderline paedophile and only dates virgin girls in their late teens and early 20s. As a virgin myself, that's downright predatory.
He's not really going anywhere though so I kinda feel bad for these poor girls in a way but then, they make their own bed.
He asked me a while back why I still talk to him and he usually sends texts or messages saying he's gonna kill himself when I try to get him the fuck out of my life and honestly, I feel bad for him. He never even finished high school, has no real skills or talents (I tried to teach him when we were kids) and doesn't have the burning desire for knowledge that I and most of my other friends have, the ones that he used to call nerds as a kid (he used to make fun of me for being a nerd and not having sex so now he's kinda reaping the results of his own life).

He's just not really a person I'd recommend anyone have around so, yeah, I've known guys like this.
I know another guy similar too except he's in his 30s with a kid and has similar problems.

I concur although I’d blame a lot of it on immaturity rather than a deeper character flaw depending on their age. Most of the Marines I served with were teenagers. Loyalty is extremely important to me personally, and it’s a huge turn off to see any disloyalty. In women and men. This is a big one for me. In men, it just makes me step away and keep a distance. I don’t want to be apart of your life if you lack loyalty. You don’t have control over your life and don’t value your relationships. You lack empathy and decisiveness. You cannot muster the assertion to get what you want in a relationship. In your words, weak. In women, it causes me some resentment and bitterness since they always rationalize their behavior with a victim mentality. He didn’t give me attention. “ He was a dick. He yelled at me.” Shut the fuck up you narcissistic opportunist. Every relationship has ebbs and flows. Like I said, it’s just a really unattractive trait. I think you’d acclimate better with commissioned officers.

Military?
I pretty much think anyone would would get serious with someone serving is stupid.
Anyone dating... and then their partner enlists. Break up.
Trying to stay a couple while the government dictates if you can see or talk to your partner or ever see them as they are shipped around the country/world for months/years at a time. They should end it.

Military people should be single (except in cases where you are career and you have a desk job and stay in one city permanently. Not when you are deployed and shipping out all the time.)

Date... marry when they GET OUT of the military.
