Why would a guy get so offended I unfollowed him on Instagram? It’s no big deal?

So me and this guy have been off and on a few times because it’s been complicated between us.. his Instagram is private. I requested to follow him when we first saw each other, and did/ we broke things off due to outside situation/I needed to move on so I unfollowed him/ outside situation changed and we saw each other again so I requested to follow him and he waited 1 entire week until he accepted my request (he’s on Instagram every day)/ Then we had a falling out months later and it seemed very over once again so I unfollowed him because I needed to move on/ then a month passed and outside situation isn’t a thing so we’re seeing each other again and giving it a real try this time. I requested once again to follow him on Instagram and now it’s been 2 days and he hasn’t accepted it yet.. like he gets so bothered that I unfollowed him when he was the one who broke it off last time. Why does this bother him so much?

Also he has been online because I follow him on a fake account and he had liked posts today so he has seen it

You’re being childish. I was about to side with you until you said you made a fake account to follow him on instead of just continuing to follow him with your real account. You claim you want to move on and then you stalk him. So apparently you don’t want to move on. You are just unfollowing him to be petty and I can see why he’s so annoyed. He may even know that , that fake account is you. My ex did this to me and I knew it was exactly him.

No he doesn’t know the fake account is me. I wasn’t signed in on it when I did decide to move on so I wasn’t looking at him. It was just back from spring that I had followed him. I made it look like his old friend so he thinks it’s a dude
