Do you wish more men thought like woman?

I had a friend from work who was male and he would never verbalize sympathy if I talked about something bad in their life and a pastor I watched on YouTube says men don’t like to show their emotions or voice their reactions to things.

And I have another male friend I talk to on the phone and he never understands me when I talk about complex issues or when I talk too fast, and he seems completely ignorant of social nuances or mental dispositions.

This is likely a social construct.
It is not that long ago, a few hundred years, that emotions, poetry, crying and alike were the distinct domain of men. Women were largely considered cold and logical creatures lacking in the capacity to love or feel sympathy.

It is fair to note that these sorts of accounts were of course written by men with an inclination for at the very least writing. They are no doubt biased. However it is also true that how we handle emotions and which gender is seen as more in touch with them has historically never been a constant. You would find that men and women both take turns being the emotionally keen party.

As an actual answer I think it is good that we have different go-to abilities. As much as it complicates communication it does result in a more complete spectrum for the succesful couple.

Well in a way, its a thin line... like I have a guy friend at work and he is such great person in a way that you can really talk to him about anything and he is so understanding, but it never takes away from his manliness. he seems really intelligent, I don't know how he does that, he is also usually in male company but is good with all women and all women love him (he is married). I think its really about developing certain skills we shall all have and men often make excuse for those undeveloped skills on them being "a man". Dont get me wrong, a lot of women also lack those skills.

Nah, I don't wish that at all. I won't speak for all men, but I will let you in on something that I learned: most girls don't want that, either. I had a friend who was very much like that, and he drove his wife to divorce him because he would listen to every female problem that was presented to him, and give him his undivided attention, to the point of ignoring calls and texts.

What I learned from that is most women REALLY like men to do that, but just for them and their kids, not for any other women. When I took this lesson, and applied it to my dating life, I had WAY more success, too. Happily married for over a decade now, so take that how you will.

Oh God no! If anything the opposite.
The important thing to understand is that ALL women have a little "crazy" in them. This is not up for debate. And I have respect for the women I've known that will own up to it. I mean it's hard for guys to deal with but somehow it makes it much more manageable when the woman is open about it. And feels bad that she'll act that way from time to time. Rather then just taking the attitude "there's nothing wrong with me". And acting mental every now and then. Basically the former just shows compassion for what the guy has to deal with.
