Their whole argument stems from the fact that there's more than one way of expressing masculinity than to just be the most violent, aggressive and ape-like guy in the room.

The girls who complain that there aren't any masculine dudes likely weren't part of the group vouching against toxic masculinity in the first place. If said woman hasn't found a dude masculine enough, chances are that the standards of their ideal man is probably sky high.

Some dig the masculine persona, others prefer the feminine one more. So I doubt that if we let more effeminate fellows be, all men will follow suit in 5 years (considering this post, I doubt that you'd join in)

You don't understand tho, let's say for example a guy is scared to go in a haunted house.. a guy says be brave be a man... According to girls that is toxic masculinity...

But if we jus let him not a wimp and not go in, that will stop him from ever being masculine in the future.. he will think it's ok to be a girl and never defend his girlfriend in an attack... So encouraging men to masculine and brave is not toxic

It's only toxic if we say something like "be brave" in the front of a lion and we are encouraging the man to go stroke the lion... Or the man is standing on a building edge and we are encouraging him to do walk close to the edge. Girls don't consider your example to be toxic masculinity. If, instead, they said something like "if you dont go into that haunted house then you are a woman," that's toxic masculinity as it implies that women would not, men must, and this means men are "better." In real life you can be scared of a haunted house regardless of your gender for reasons beyond the comprehension of those who would tease you about it (i. e. ptsd).
