Yea starting there would be a good idea for you to start getting more and more comfortable - until you eventually talk to people in real life - A few tips would be always do things that make you more confident - As in if your hair is messed up and you're very self conscious about it - fix it - Same goes for wearing clothes you feel confident while wearing - Stuff like that give you initial confidence that goes a long way

+1 ythat could work. when i wanted to get over my stage fright i performed some music at a retirement home. the elderly tend to have music tastes that were easier to perform and they were a very welcoming audience and not that threatening.

+1 yI personally think talking on video chat is different than face to face. You miss basic body language on video chat

Yeah doesn't matter to me all i want is to be able to talk to people and stop being awkward after about 2 years of lockdown i almost forgot how to talk
- +1 y
The only way to get good at talking to people, is just talk to people lol
- +1 y
Ahh I agree
- +1 y
Your smart to do this. As you get older and leave school you’ll find society is more socially divided then school. You won’t find many places outside work that force interaction between people. As a 34 yr old man who works with only men and 60-80 hrs a week dating in particular is difficult. But hanging with friends is something I don’t have time for anymore.
Ah adulting. You fucking kids think it’s all about freedom lol. Na it’s about meeting your responsibilities quickly and efficiently enough to have time for freedom. - +1 y
@VanillaSalt I work 40-50 hours a week and then do college online 20 hours a week. Not sure who you are calling a kid, but I don’t have much freedom. I do have a man that loves and supports me so 🤷🏻♀️
- +1 y
Talking to the 17 yr old runt lol.
- +1 y
@VanillaSalt nvm even u r doing the same no one wants your shitty opinion my question was completely different u just wanted too pour all your work frustration out and yeah u dont need to be this rude
- +1 y
@Thathshygurl agreed with you. There is really no need to be rude here
- +1 y
You think I’m being rude calling you a runt? Lol if ima be rude I’ll do it right. I call my niece a runt. I call most kids runts. I even paid you a compliment in my first sentence.
I highly recommend you learn to take people comments in step unless you wanna end up part of the forever offended generation. - +1 y
@VanillaSalt I think there is better nicer ways to say things and not act like you are more wise because you are older
- +1 y
Oh definitely. I could be all flowers and serenade if I wanted… but you don’t overlook good advice because it’s stated in a way you don’t like.
I am who I am like it or not. If you learn to take comments like mine without feeling offended you might learn something. Or you can be mad I called her a runt. But I could've called her a bitch. There’s much worse words to use so it should be obvious it wasn’t my intention to be rude.
But when your focused on people offending you you miss every other point worth listening to. - +1 y
@VanillaSalt if you were mature and wise you would realize people will only listen to your advice when it is nicely said without having the intentions of insulting someone for no reason. There’s no reason to think you are above a 17 year old asking for advice about communicating. Sorry not sorry. I am not the one to get offended that easily, so honestly I’m not getting what you are saying. You use being rude online to talk over others 🤷🏻♀️
- +1 y
Then perhaps you should reread my original comment and understand everything leaving out the part your offended by… or don’t it’s yours and her choice whether to accept or not accept advice from someone that suffered from a similar problem for twice as long as she’s been alive.
- +1 y
@VanillaSalt throwing in one compliment to deflect off the rest of the rude things you have to say doesn’t make what you have said better. We are talking about communication here , so if you don’t know how to generally communicate advice, why should someone take your communication advice?
- +1 y
@kyleelyn199723 ok so let’s use a little logic here. First I have technically insulted her twice calling her a “runt” and referring to her as a “fucking kid”. The rest was me not caring about your opinion on my word use. Would my advice be more worthwhile if I used words like “young lady” and omit the whole point of my final comment?
No you need to learn to listen to the words people say, take out the trash like rude words and hidden meaning and get to the point of what they have to say. I bet your boss has at some point been rude because he’s having a bad day. A snide comment. A tone in his voice. Do you ignore what he tells you? Of course not.
Also would you rather sit here and complain how rude people are or ignore their rudeness and take whatever else you can from an interaction. Hint. One ways productive the other isn’t.
Final point honest. I can understand if your getting advice about HOW to communicate… I’m definitely not the first to ask advice. However being reassured you want to work on communication skills rather then be old and fail at it isn’t the same. There was a time your elders were respected not because they were respectable but because their experience was valuable and with it you could accomplish more than others your age… - +1 y
@VanillaSalt I’m not getting into detail with this and wasting my day away. If you want to give advice about communication and want someone to actually listen to your advice, then you simply need to learn how to communicate as well. You are 34, you aren’t as wise as you think you are. Enjoy your day
- +1 y
Ok then more advice from a dumb 34 yr old… people don’t care if you listen to their advice or not. Your failures on you regardless so do what ya want.
- +1 y
@VanillaSalt if you don’t care why are you arguing with me about your “wise advice” . Just stop. Just because you are 34 doesn’t mean you are as wise as you think you are
- +1 y
Because I’m amused lol. Why can’t you just not reply back? *crickets*
- +1 y
Because you are on my comment? Wth? And not only that, it almost seems like you were trying to call me a kid as well and you got it all wrong. Yes communicating comes with experience. My job has to do with communication and that’s how I progressed. Taking college classes, I took public speaking. So to say as an adult communication gets smaller and smaller, that only depends on what you do with your life.
That website is full of trolls and people are usually fake. I try going out with my coworkers.

I’ve made 2 great friendships on Omegle so it’s definitely possible. You’ll have to skip through A LOT of gross stuff but it will be worth it once you find someone to have a quality conversation with.
