Ok, so there's this guy, I barely see him, I mean there are more than month-long intervals. But he always remembers details from our past conversations. More notably recently. So i saw him in late September and he was on a call with a friend and going in a different direction, but he still stopped and talked with me for a while, finally he excused himself cause he was on a call with a friend of his about a uni project. The next time I saw him, in late November, he was with a couple friends (that I also know), he waved me over and almost immediately brought up that time we talked in September and apologised for having to leave that soon, saying he hopes he didn't seem rude or like he didn't want to talk to me... He then said something even more surprising, he asked me why I am not playing football in the society football team (for reference, we're both in the same university society and that society has a football team, he plays in it, I wanted to but I thought it was just for guys...) this surprised me as I only mentioned to him that I play football once, 2 years ago, also I was surprised he was even surprised I wasn't on the team. Apart from this, when we talked in November he was also very smiley, he was facing me directly, and although 2 of his fiends were there he was only talking to me while I talked with them... Does this mean anything or am is he just a nice guy and I'm misreading and over-interpreting everything? Also, any tips on how I can find out if he might like me or is just being nice next time I see him? Thanks

Some people are good at remembering details like you noted. It usually doesn't correlate to attraction.

You can have a casual chat with him as a person may be he could be a good friend or more. You can only know that after you know him well or vice versa
