Does this guys response have a hidden meaning? Am I being naive?

I started seeing a guy and we went out 3 times in a matter of 4 days. All initiated by him. The last date was a sleepover, without sex. He had plans to leave the next day for a bachelor party trip. I texted him (the day before he left) telling him I think I might like him, and wanted to find out if it was mutual.
He said that he would “love to see me when I got back, just didn’t have a set day yet. And that there was definitely something worth exploring in this, and I don’t want to jump into anything, but I’m not a casual dater either. Let’s keep with this and see where it takes us”
Do I take this as a good thing? He’s not a huge texter, but has sent me one or two texts and a few snaps while on his trip. I just want to make sure I’m not being naive in believing he isn’t going to totally ditch me when he gets back. It’s happened before unfortunately.

Bachelor party? He’s having the time of his life and probably isn’t thinking about anyone but living his best life. The situation seems fresh because the two of you went out 3 times in 4 days and it’s hard to tell what’s his level of interest. Keep your standards and watch his actions. If it’s month 2 and he hit you with “Let’s see where things take us” then you’ll be sailing right along with him in uncertainty till he comes across another woman and the conversation between the two of you begin to dwindle.

Only time will tell. You have to have hope but don’t fool yourself. Just wait till he gets back and see where things go. It’s good he’s still communicating with you, especially on a trip.
