Guys would you ever walk ahead of a girl or walk with her or beside her if you liked her?

If you were interested in a girl would you walk with her, ahead or behind her? Or would the reason you walk ahead be that you are too shy?

When walking with a girl or a child, I always walk on the outside and about half a step behind them. This allows me to be close but to provide some protection, whether it's an actual attack, someone running down the street not looking where they're going, a bicyclist, etc. If there's a second guy, then he usually walks behind, and if a third, then he walks on the outside a step or two ahead, forming a protective bubble around the women and kids. This is just automatic - many of my friends are former military and all of them are security conscious, and this is just instinctual.

Anyway, many guys will like a girl but will be too shy to talk to her, or too shy to tell her how he feels, but will still make an effort to be close to her, hoping for a time when either she's alone or when there's a natural time in the discussion to make his feelings about her known.

Okay what are you asking here because if this is one of those a girl really likes you if she Yanks your hair and beats you up type the situations then that reverse psychology stuff doesn't really work because if you like her why wouldn't you walk with her 🤨?

I agree haha and because there is a work colleague of mine who although he talks to me loads in the office etc and seems to flirt with me but he’s never walked beside me so I don’t know if he likes me or not

This is a great question. This is a hot button issue for me. My husband is always 5-10 feet ahead of me and I take offense to it terribly. He doesn't seem to even notice he's walking ahead of me and acts blindsided when I'm offended. I stopped taking walks with him over this. Maybe I'm too sensitive.
