Is it weird that my guy friend is asking me to move in with him?

Question

My best guy friend and I have been best friend for 6 years
He recently bought a house a year ago, and since then has always told me to move in because he has an extra room and he wouldn't charge me rent
I keep telling him no, because I have a boyfriend (and I would never do that to him)!
When I told my best guy friend to ask one of our other friends instead of me he said "no Id enjoy having you here not him and plus id charge him rent for sure"
He knows I have a boyfriend but now my boyfriend is saying that he's convinced my best guy friend likes me and its causing issues.
I've distanced myself to respect my boyfriend but is he seeing something I can't see?

It is possible he might see something. respect to you for doing your best to be loyal, but if your boyfriend is having issues simply because your BFF wants to have you keep him company and to move out, then that's on him. It shouldn't bother him, cuz it's just a house, but I'd be concerned that your boyfriend might just want you to be nowhere else except with him (which seems cute but is quite controlling) even if it means you not being happy in his desired living conditions.

My advice, think about what would make you happier, and go from there. If you want to be free and independent, without the cost of losing money, move in with your friend. If you want to do as your boyfriend says despite the amazing deal you are being offered to move out, then do that.

How can you not see it? I think you are playing dumb tbh. You really didn''t know when he offered you rent free living in his house? Come on. Your boyfriend should be pissed and he isn't being controlling like another poster suggests.
