Had an alcohol mishap last night that involved the police. How do I keep moving forward?

I was home alone last night, and I was feeling really depressed. I then drank 151 proof alcohol on top of 4 drinks I had. I was slurring my speech severely and could barely stand. I felt like I was gonna blackout.

I decided to call 911, which prompted the mobile crisis hotline and then the sheriff's department showed up at my door. I was severely inebriated and they put my in handcuffs and took me to the hospital.

My mother came and got me shortly after and took me home.

I just feel like my life is doomed and I am going to end up alone. I feel socially inept with women. I cannot get over a woman's romantic past, so I am likely to be alone for life on that too. I am 27 and never had a real girlfriend before.

I'm glad that you called 911. That may have saved your life.

I don't think you should continue drinking alcohol, though. You need to quit.

Can I make a suggestion? I think it would be good if you talk to a therapist. They may be able to help you deal with life.

I do not know why you were handcuffed. You made a mistake and not a very bad one. Maybe even the mistake was calling the cops in the first place. You should have just gone to bed.
Try and put it behind you and do not do it in the future.

I dare you to go to AA meetings or a support group for depression of some sort. I guarantee that you’ll at least meet new people that you can vibe with which will expand your social circle and improve your chances on finding a girl

@Jamie05rhs oh I’m not saying he should date another alcoholic, I’m urging him to go to these meetings so that he can have a support system. He’s saying he has no friends so I figured he might make new friends by going to these and they’ll introduce him to new people

Okay. But just remember that the type of people that alcoholics hang around with are other alcoholics. Because misery loves company. And they know they're not going to be judged for their vices, because those people have the same vices. So don't expect him to be set up with a good woman through any of those networks.

The stuff you're drinking would cause most people to have a "Mishap."
Alcohol isn't the answer, but you're really overdoing it.
You're only 27, you've still got time to meet all kinds of women.
I got divorced at 38 years old and still fell in love 3 times since then. Calm down, you've got time on your side still.

I am just in the lowest part of my life right now. I found a girl back in 2020 that never had her first love and never dated before, and she was what I was looking for. She met me the first time and rejected me. Now, she is marrying some other guy. I just want to find another woman just like her, one without a romantic past. I feel so empty inside.

Also you gotta understand that women are not perfect, and the older you get the more history she's gonna have. I know you feel lonely, and like getting a girlfriend seems impossible, but you really just have to get in shape, make some friends and start being a more social person.
You can't find a girlfriend unless you get out there and live your life in places where you can be friends with women your age.
I've been through everything with women, and relationships are good and bad.
I went through terrible things at the end of long relationships that sent me into depressions.
You just have to learn how to pull yourself out of this.
You have to be strong, you have to be your own best friend in life.

Sounds like you might need some counselling/therapist and maybe even something for depression (maybe see a doctor?). Alcohol isn't the answer, as you see.

Nothing helps. I see a psychiatrist. I take medications as prescribed. I received countless hours of counseling. But I have my standards when it comes to women that sadly may mean I will be alone for life. Meanwhile, all my peers around me are getting married and/or having kids. Some of them multiple kids.

I’d start by reducing alcohol intake. For me, I switched to weed and am doing a lot better, but everyone’s different
