First and for most you would not be the first person to crush on a someone already in a relationship. So your are not a bad person and there is nothing wrong with crushing on a guy. Honestly all you can do from there, is sit back and wait and see. Try to maintain the friendship and do not take any active role or actions to interferer with his relationship. So the signs you need to look for is the signs that his current relationship is in trouble and lay and wait while being support and a "Good Friend" while doing nothing else.
Secondly, any guy that would cheat on or break up with a girlfriend for another women is not the type of guy you should want to pursue. Honestly, if you told this guy that you would date him if he dumped his girlfriend, or he cheats on his current girlfriends with you... do you really think he would not cheat on you, or leave you later for another women?
And like most other guys here have already said, if you play the role of villain here and cause them to break up... well good people do not do that. Chances are if you were successful at doing it, that the guy would know and eventually if you did hook up he would resent it over time especially when your relationship hit its first bump in the road. Seriously ever relationship hits a few road blocks along the way... and this guy will always question if he made the right choice in leaving his current girlfriend for you. Over time feelings of doubt and resentment may come into play and kill the relationship.
He currently has both of you. Don’t waste your time and energy on a person who needs to choose between you and another. You’re giving him too much authority in your life, and rebounding has a high rate of failure.
He probably won't. You are just his side hack that he uses for sex. The only way he might is if you tell his girlfriend that he is sleeping with you too. But that will also piss him off so he will not talk to you anymore.

Oh, we've never kissed or had sex. I wouldn't cheat.
But you are expecting him to either cheat or dump his girlfriend for you. Then you will wind up being the one he dumps for yet some other girl. Sounds like a vicious cycle.
Nah, I'm just going to date other guys and just wait it out. I'd rather see him happy. We spoke on the phone for 4 hours one night so we get on well and he mentioned his mental health was suffering so I'm more concerned about that right now anyways. He's a really genuine guy. That's why I like him. He'd never cheat.
signs can mean anything, you will think about it and you may have the wrong idea. he will tell you, if he will leave his girlfriend for you. be careful, keep your hopes up way to high, he will dump his girlfriend and he doesn't that will hurt you a lot.
If he does it to her for you then when you are together wouldn’t you think he’d do it to you?

I understand but no 100% not! I love him and know in my gut and heart we'd get on really well. His the sweetest guy that's had a lot happen to him in his past.
Have you had sex with him yet? If so then he should of already left his girlfriend for you , If you had sex with him and he is still with his girlfriend then you are just wasting your time , he is just using you as a side piece

Doubt that's going to happen. He's living in another city for me and it's 2hours away. There's no way we'd get a chance to hang out. Plus I gave him an opportunity to hang out but he never got back to me before he started seeing his girlfriend. So I'm not wasting anymore of my time amd energy on someone who doesn't love me, like I love him. Lifes too short.
If he dumps her for you, he’ll dump you for the next one

If he was any decent man he already would have fessed up to the girlfriend and done it. Anyone taking someone’s boyfriend deserves them. I would worry how long before they cheat on you too though.
We know eachother from a mutual friend. I met him at my friends wedding and again at my friends parties. But he had along term girlfriend then. So if he liked me he'd end it right?
Why do you want to be with someone who has a girlfriend?

I don't think you should be with someone who already has a girlfriend... Plus, what makes you think he wouldn't cheat on you with another girl? Sure, he may seem nice and all, but once a cheater, always a cheater.
