I took a screenshot and saved the picture of a guy I like (he knows about my feelings). Why did he complain nothing about it?

We both are added on snapchat and have regular streaks. As you might already know that snapchat gives a notification if the other person takes a screenshot, I took one. He asked me "which screenshot did you take?" I told him "the picture with the cat" and he said "okay 😂" and I sent the blessed emoji in return. I'm surprised why he never complains about it? Do guys not get irritated?
