I wouldn't care how a girl looked if she wanted to have a conversation with me. I had a 35 minute conversation with a girl at college who I "met" when I was on my way to the dining hall. I say met in quotes because we never exchanged names, and never saw each other again. If she wants to talk then I don't care if she finds me attractive. I don't tell people my relationship status at the beginning. If it becomes more serious when we talk whenever we meet then I would tell her. On the other hand I had a friend in college who wanted to date me as much as I wanted to date her (not at all). We were good friends because we took a lot of the same classes. Also she could get a B on a paper that she wrote 45 minutes before the class it was due. I usually just pulled an all nighter, but I got an A.

It's flattering to get attention even if you are in a relationship. So you really don't risk much as a woman because it's not a common thing to be approached as a guy. That it will start becoming annoying.
