It's common.
It's like that in a majority of Latino cultures.
Wife is from Colombia.
I've heard that for years from many different Latino countries.
It's a term of affection that doesn't really mean he's into you, just that he's comfortable around you. It's not disrespectful.

If him calling you mama or Mami is the only issue then it's no biggie.
If he's staring at you or trying to touch you or making suggestive comments then that needs to be reported.
If all he's doing is calling you mami and you don't like it... then TELL HIM!!!
Don't go report some made up innuendo to HR and get him in trouble if he didn't do anything wrong.

"Mr XXXX, listen, could you please stop calling me Mami? It makes me feel uncomfortable. I'd really appreciate if you'd just call me by my name."
If he doesn't stop then elevate the issue.
