Why does my manager call me "ma'am"?

it was our first time meeting (except for phone calls) and he called me ma'am? he's called me ma'am on calls too so I'm super confused

we're a whole team and I'm the only person he calls that. he's eons older than us (in fact i actually look younger than my team.

his voice is legit flat serious all the time so i can't tell if he's mocking me for something. even so, i have no idea why he'd be mocking me— unless he hates the fact that i don't end each and every sentence with "sir" and views it as me having an 'attitude' or something I don't know

Unless you are standing there when he talks to EVERY single female 24/7 you don't know if you are the only one he says it to.
I'm not sure why you think it's some big conspiracy against you. If it bothers you that much then talk to him about it.
