So, I've been dating this guy for 6 months now. We are in an open relationship but last week he totally freaked out and admitted that he got jealous when he saw that I've been talking to 2 other guys on my phone. Yesterday, he started texting another girl in front of me, literally while I was laying on his chest. I didn't think much of it. Today, he calls me and asks me to meet up. When we met up, he was with the girl he was texting the other day. He introduced us to each other. He took a selfie with her and posted on his story. And then I made an excuse and left. I would like to think that he was trying to make me jealous since he was literally pissed off when he saw my texts and this is his way of "revenge". What do you think he is trying to do? Help a girl out <3

Well you have answered the question yourself. Yes it is true he got jealous and he was indeed trying to make your jealous.

However, in your case you mentioned that it is an open relationship and plus I don't see anything that indicates that you were trying to make him jealous on purpose, may be you were just talking to other guys and he got jealous on his own.

What I don't understand is why would he try to make you jealous on purpose unless he wants to see whether you like him or have a romantic interest towards him or not.

Nevertheless playing to jealousy card is a highly immature tactic.

Don't get me wrong I always hated that shit "open relationship" and things like that happen. Ofc over time you will develop some feelings for other person, no matter how hard you try not to. I guess that approach to relationship and declaring it anything else than "normal" will cause this problems and overthinking...

Open relationships don't work. Someone's feelings always get hurt because you start to care about each other. That's where it begins but it could end terribly.

He wants more than an open relationship. He doesn't want to see you with another man. Make a choice for yourself if that's what you want. If not, leave him behind because all you will get is jealousy and revenge.

You could also try talking to him and remind him that it's an open relationship.

He’s he’s trying to make you jealous. Even in an open relationship in his mind he thinks it’s ok for him to see other women but not you. Weird how that works. I used to bang this chick on the side, it was good for a minute while it lasted. I’d meet up w her, a lot of road head, occasional phuk here and there. But then she decided to mess w another dude as well even though I didn’t want to be exclusive. Yes it made me jealous. A lot of us men tend to think this way.
