Though not being a girl, I think there´s some truth to it because there are more confident and less confident guys. There are guys that are submissive and there are guys that are leaders.
There are definetely different types of male character like some guys are into sissyfication and wearing female clothes with make-up and so on while others dispise that.
There are guys that have it easier with women because they are more confident and know what they want, while there are guys that often are or feel over-looked.
For me it´s similar to the question if people are dominant or submissive. I´m not talking about roles in bed but in real life.
I think there are some attributes that you can either call alpha/dominant or beta/submissive but I wouldn´t say that some guys are per se alpha and therefore are the only ones that women like to date and some guys are per se beta and will stay single for life because that sounds too easy and doesn´t cover the whole dating situation of nowadays.

If you want to be a high value person (desirable) , it requires to have self confidence, high values and morals, respectul, kind, not lazy, genuine. That's how you get a good woman.
If you want to get someone to sleep around: power, lots of money, looks. This is what also the wannabe "Alpha" males want to achieve.

I don't see alpha as muscular and tall, but intelligent and in control of things. That person could be short and skinny.
