Why is he really rude about other guys I talk about and then when I look at him he smiles so wide?

Like one of his friends left their sweater at my house and I told him when he came over (before I told him who's it was) I said "he left his sweater here" and he said "who's is that, why would he leave that there" then I told him it was his friends and he said he's going to put it in the bin then I said ok and turned around and he had the biggest smile on his face

His friend came to fix my roof
And this guy isn't my boyfriend we have never kissed or dated just like each other

Then maybe if he likes you, he was worried for a second that the sweater belonged to a guy you were dating/interested in. And when he found out that was not the case he was happy about it.
Or
Maybe he took you giving him the sweater without explaining it, as you trying to see how he will react to it. (Sometimes girls will kind of test a guys reaction, to see if he shows jealousy. If they are unsure of his feelings) And if thats the case then he smiled because, if you were testing him it kind of reveals that you like him.

When he knew it was his friends he still said he was putting it in the bin. Also when he said that and I said ok, I then caught on to what he said and I said 'waaaait no' and I turned around and he was smiling so hard. I then proceeded to tell him to give it to his friend and he still didn't seem too happy about it. I dont think he believed it was his friends
