Is this guy interested or just playing games?

So I met this guy a couple of weeks ago , we don’t live near each other but exchanged numbers. he messaged the next day and then for the next few days we were messaging , it was never instant but within a couple of hours. It started to get longer between messages but on one day he was messaging loads. We’ve also had a few phone chats when we’ve been talking for over an hour. I’ve randomly called him too and he always picks up and if he’s busy says he will call back - and so far always has done. He’s not asked me much about myself though , it’s always me asking him. He said he is super busy with work and he trains a lot and he isn’t seeing anyone but has said he is talking to other girls. I sometimes feel like he isn’t interested and have asked him but he said he is and not to take anything to Heart and “relax”. I see him online several times a day and he’s not read my messages.
In the last few days it has been taking much longer for him to read /reply and the messages aren’t even that long and only 1/2 at a time. Sometimes it’s even just a short voice message.
A few days ago he asked me to go and stay with him next weekend but it’s a bit short notice and I already have plans. I last messaged yesterday afternoon. And he’s not even read it even though he’s been online and changed his WhatsApp picture.
So what is going on here.., is he playing games?

You are part of his collection and selection process. He's only making you an option. He was vocal about seeing/talking to other girls, though, so you should see that as a red flag. But you have to ask yourself, would you date him? Even though he told you he is also seeing/talking to other girls? He's not serious about exclusivity if that is what you're looking for.

Have you said you saw him several times online? Do not monitor his online activities; it will drive you nuts. But if you really like him, ask him on a regular date somewhere.

No I’ve not mentioned that I’ve seen him online. I’ve gone into the chat a few times ti see if it’s even been read and it hasn’t but he’s been online.
Also he didn’t just tell me he was talking to others , I asked him if he was seeing anyone or dating and he said no I’m just talking to a few.

Don't date this guy keep him in the friend zone although if you keep him in the friend zone he's probably going to stop talking to you but don't date the guy
