Why does he keep matching with me on tinder?

There’s this guy I met on tinder early March.. we talked for about a week (good introspective, interesting, deep conversation) until one day he just ghosted me and stopped responding. I ask him whether he’s looking for hookups or if he’s actually interested and I got no response. I see his account again a couple weeks ago and swipe on him.. I match with him and he doesn’t say anything so I unmatched. I see his account AGAIN today, swipe on him and it’s been 11 hours and he still hasn’t said anything. What’s up with this guy? I originally had asked why he swiped on me and he said “I swipe on people who interest me” I’m so confused!! Any one have any advice or suggestions?

No response is all the response you need. That dude isn’t on there looking for a relationship, and is already not ideal because he isn’t even having a conversation with you and you shouldn’t pursue something that already has mixed signals. For all you know he ghosts because he found someone else, it doesn’t work then he gets back on there and swipes on you to see if you’re still active/interested but as a back up plan, and that’s shitty. You’ve already been single for however long, so I’d say just be patient, keep looking and hopefully you meet the right person. It’s not him though, love.

Unlike real life meetings, tinder is usually only for sex. So most men just quickly swipe right on most girls they see as even then they never really get matches. If you can't block him just ignore him and only hookup with guys who are willing to respond to you clearly

I don’t know if there are others. He had this “I’m depressed” demeanor when I was speaking to him talking about how he goes to the gym so he won’t kill himself

If it were me, since he's depressed, I'd suggest that he look for less fleeting positive emotion...
