Can a person actually trip for 3 days or a week if he's on heavy drugs?

Guy I like dint reply to me at all for 3 days and said he was tripping, and after than he is still not replying just an excuse i believe

I think LSD can last long af but I don't know if days, it's possible he consumed more everytime he felt getting sober, that's called abusing drugs which is worse than just taking drugs
