Why does it take some guys 1-2 days to respond?

Seriously this is so annoying. Some guys show clear interest (ask the girl out) but then take 2 days to respond. It is weird. Clearly, it is intentional but what is the meaning of this.

When an inexperienced guy asks for advice, he’ll be told to wait a couple of days or else he’ll seem too eager. Chances are your guys might just be nervous that they’ll mess it up!
