He called me a heifer, but in a joking way should I be upset?

boyfriend and I been together for three years. He’s a respectful guy never called me out my name in three years. We joke around with one another a lot and so today I was saying I wanna get donuts and I kept bugging and he was like oh “heifer pook” pook is a nickname we call one another. I immediately was offended and he said I’m kidding of course I don’t think that I thought I could joke sorry. He bought me food since he said he knows he fucked up but still I don't know Am I being too sensitive?

Sometime stupid things slip out of our mouths. If it was totally out of character for him to say that, and he doesn't say it again, I think you can forgive him.
