I'm confused on what to do. What should I do?

I'm 18 and I have a boyfriend. He's been so nice to me. He recently traveled out of town with his parents and we've been texting over the phone. Today he asked for pictures of my body and I told him no because I didn't feel comfortable with that die to the emotional trauma of being sexually abused by my ex male best friend but he still insisted. I told him no and he told me it was okay and that he didn't need anything anymore. He stopped talking to me afterwards. Is he angry or what?

You did the right thing, for multiple reasons.
1) It's extremely, extremely easy, and common, to trap a woman under the threat of sharing around her nude photos. So, if you'll ever send nudes to someone, do it only to trusted people and absolutely cut your face away from the photo and hide any recognizable element. Still, the guy could screenshot the convo to prove it's yours. So be very careful about that. Afterall, a boyfriend can see you naked in real life, so no need to request photos. Don't give them weapons. Even if the love story goes well, you've to take in account one day you two will be probably exes and hate each other, and that's when he can make use of the weapons you given him.
2) If he didn't respect the fact you didn't feel comfortable, he has no interest in you, he only cares about your body but doesn't have any trace of love (love as in "care", which is actually the core of what love is, not "attraction", which is the core of passion instead). Now he is playing the victim role by being offended to make you feel guilty for not having sent nudes. That's a cheap and pathethic method, don't fall for it because you won't get love in return. Don't mismatch love with attraction, which is a common mistake. He could be attracted to you but won't make him magically "care" about you, and how you feel etc. This is anyway a red flag for the relationship.
3) You didn't compromise your individual integrity and decided to stay on your position, instead of being too soft. This is good for your self respect. If you didn't, these things would harm your self esteem and self respect in the long term, so this was anyway a good choice. Don't let him negotiate with you by threatening to leave you. He is not a big loss and that would be anyway psychological violence at some point. He must either accept your decisions about your own body, or leave. You shouldn't compromise this boundary between you and the others, regarding your own life, body and feelings.

Don't do anything your not comfortable with, if he's decent guy he'll understand if he's not than be glad if he quits talking to you, you don't need to be with a jerk.

I’m not sure how long it has been without a text from him. Maybe he’s in a place with bad coverage? Or he’s busy visiting with his family? I’m just guessing. I don’t know.
