I just gave a guy my number on a piece of paper at the gym and I’m nervous about him reaching out. He seemed busy when I approached. What can I do?

Anyway I just decided I’d write him my name and number on a note and give it to him today. It was just this evening so I haven’t heard just yet. What usually happens in these scenarios?

He’s told me I’m gorgeous and that he likes my hair before. So I don’t think he finds me ugly now or anything. I am just awkward and shy is all.
