What does it mean if a guy says he doesn't know how to love? He shows endearing and affectionate behavior toward me and likes to be w/ me. Is it love?

I think he thinks he's incapable of love because he had a troubled childhood and said he never experienced love for real as a child. He feels like he's just here to be used by people, but he doesn't think that about me. He knows I genuinely care deeply about him.

Then tell him to try with you and just give a very gentle warm hug and see how he reacts. If he's too paralyzed can tell him its okay to like stroke your hair and hug you back. It is perfectly okay to teach someone you are attracted to what love means.
