Why no cuddles and kisses?

I am just curious as to why some men don't/won't hold, kiss, hug, caress or just show plain affection towards a woman that they say they love. What is up with that?

Maybe they are afraid to appear they are too "unmanly" to be- well- openly manly.

Maybe they have been in areas/places that do not show PDA (public displays of affection) too often. (Different countries, etc. have different customs)

Maybe the "fire" in their relationship has died down to only a glowing ember and it needs to be stoked a bit. ;- )

(Noting your screen name prompted this possibility). Maybe the guy is in an anhedonia phase- rather than a manic phase- of his mental continuum.

These are just a few possibilities - I'm sure you can think of many more.

Just a note in passing - In our plain old evangelical church, there are surprising number of couples who hold hands, put their arms around one or the other, etc during the church services.

It might be how they were raised.
I enjoy all of that, but my parents really didn't show affection in public.
Tat generation really didn't.
But if you don't see it at home, that is what you think is normal.
Not sure how his parents got along, loving family, fighting all the time, or divorced.
Maybe try talking to him and express your needs to him, start out slow and see where it goes.

I love spooning. Either me doing him or him doing me. we both love it. My college roommate was the first person I ever spooned with and three years later I did it again on my wedding night with my husband.
