Why have a few popular kids wanted to "hang out" with me even though I'm very low "teir"?

Im a pretty ugly guy & many girls around me find me scary so from that bit I find it odd that some popular kids would want to "hang out" with me

Basically I assume I was being set up for some "CARRIE" bullshit

I mean its possible that they find interest in you beyond what you may consider plausible. It kind of falls into the stigma that all popular kids are snooty and preppy when a large majority of them are kind people. Just like the stigma that quote unquote ugly kids can never be interesting to a popular kids, their differences seperating them on a social scale. Most popular people just happen to be impressionable to others which makes them quote unquote popular. When I was growing up I would have felt the same way because there was no reason for popular kids, "in my mind" to hang out with me unless it was a trap, but I am also a bully victim so I viewed popular kids as all bad back than because they were the main bane of my existence. But with age comes certain perspective and I can tell you from experience that you never truly know until you try.

In other words sometimes you just have to take a chance and see if your suspisions are grounded or not. You could be giving up a possible great future friend due to your own low opinion of yourself or your opinion of others in a social scale. Ugly and low tier are just words to me, we are all worth someone elses time, what it comes down in the end is personal perception and willingness to see yourself or others in a different light.

Now you could have examples of these people being assholes or jerks that I don't know about ofcourse but if you don't, my advice is to not judge so quickly and or to lump certain groups into one area.
