I hate how when I'm with my man and we meet someone he knows and they ask if I'm his wife and he says yes.

This is upsetting because we are not married yet. He has done this thrice and I have told him I don't like it, but he did it today again and I got upset. And I see he is upset too cause I complained again and told him to just say I'm his friend. We are not talking to each other right now. I'm still upset. An I wrong here?

You're both wrong. He shouldn't be calling you his wife if you're not married. Maybe he likes the sound or idea of you being his wife. It seems like you two are not that serious yet, and you don't like the sound or idea of being his wife. Are you two in a serious relationship or just two people fucking around and having good times?
Would you have a problem with him calling you his girlfriend? If you told him to say you're just his friend, that means you do not value him as a boyfriend, significant other, romantic or life partner, etc. That's a tough pill for a guy to swallow. If this is a guy who you don't see a future with, then maybe it's time you made that clear and don't get his hopes up.

Nah, he is wrong if he has not even asked you to marry him yet or given you a ring he has no right to call you his wife. Sounds pretty immature on his part. If want he wants you to be his wife he should have the courage to ask you first, and not put it on you like that in social settings. I would of call him out on it in front of his friends, when says "This is my wife"... I would of said "No actually I am not, do you see a ring?"

From his view, he may be telling people that you are his wife because he'd like to be married to you, but that hasn't happened yet, maybe because you've let him know you just want to be friends or maybe because he hasn't gotten the guts to ask you yet.

And that has many legal complications if separated.
