But i thought he knew his boxers were showing that morning and liked it or didn't care or maybe was trying something new. But then he soon realized its wrong and got embarassed. I mean I have done stupid stuff and then gotten embarassed but when I was doing it thought it was cool/ok.

I think he might have been especially embarrassed is it happened in front of you because you´re his crush. Not so much because of the act itself.
Because it could have been that he thought of it as something new to try out and when he met you got insecure and blushed.
