Am I doing the right thing by backing up?

I think he's a different kinda person than II thought. We had a few nice dates, he says things that really compels me to believe that he genuinely likes me. I will not go into the details. But I think he's still using hookup apps. I have good reason to think that because I've seen his texts. I m gonna stop contact with him because he says things to these girls as well, not almost the same but similar denotations. Am I being rash? I've given him no reason to think that I am in to casual hookups and he knows my feelings for him. But it looks like he's just a f*ckboy who's way too good at what he does. He even shared his darkest secrets and worst pains with me, And I held his hand through his very low phases. But I am going away from him. I don't have the interest to hang out with a fuckboy.
