Liking a girl a lot doesn't necessarily mean wanting to date them. Often (given the time frame) that is long enough to get to know you better. Maybe he discovered something that suggests he shouldn't date you. I've been very attracted to some women at work b but would never date them because after getting to know them, I thought they were not date / relationship material.

The average guy is attracted to many women. There would need to be something particularly special that makes them stand out, for him to be motivated to take it further. Extreme attraction won't always equal that. I get a lot of guys at work questioning me on why I'm not doing anything about that girl or this girl. Maybe you've met a guy that looks more beneath the surface than the average male though. Quite a lot will date any girl that shows interest.

He complimented me in ways that werent even about looks. He said stuff that really touched me. Maybe im just naive and stupid or maybe he's good with flattery, i may necer know. But he didn't just say stuff like Oh you're beautiful and whatever cliche stuff.
