So, there's this gentleman in his mid 30's, he's overly attentive and considerate. But I'm not sure if he's flirting or just being kind, he's like 10 years older than me. I've only dated guys 2-3 years older.

maybe flirting? lots of older men are into younger women. had the same experience but i felt like it was a trick 😭 i think it depends on what he does though

Well he asked me a bunch of questions, shared anecdotes (even embarrassing ones), and seemed to enjoy the conversation. Afterwards he sent me a message with a book recommendation.

Well no, but in fairness you didn't give us a lot to go off of :p Though even if you had, I don't think I'd have enough experience with your situation to give you an answer other than that I don't think there's that big of a difference between someone in their mid twenties and someone ten years older than that. At least there isn't in my case :p Maybe I'm just immature.
