How can you tell if a slight older guy likes you?

There is this guy in my school who is 18 and he keeps on starring at me and whenever I leave the room he does too.
Today I want to the unisex bathrooms and he followed me in. I don't know if it's him being weird or him maybe liking me? I just don't want to jump to conclusions
