I think it's partly true, guys take good girls for granted because bitches seem more interesting because they are outgoing.
But I would disagree that a bitch is a guy's dream girl, they are just more interesting for the moment because good girls are said to to be shy and reserved something especially young and unexperienced guys view that has as not interesting.
The guy your book is talking about is a guy that's not interested in a relationship but to have an adventure.
I would therefore it talks about many but not all guys.
This is the same thing as girls always chasing guys who are rich or good looking, guys who treat them like shit or like they don't matter, and forgetting about the guy who was always good to them or there for them. Young and dumb people who haven't learned do this. I tried explaining this to some woman-hating idiot but he didn't get it. It takes a long time, sometimes even until people are in their 40's or 50's to get tired of that superficial bullshit way of thinking and to just value good people. What good is the hottest woman if they don't value you or don't make you feel loved?
Idiots take what is a given freely for granted and value things more that they have to work for, including attention, love, money, life, food, water, safety, health, etc. until they pull their head out of their ass.
Applies to both: men and women. People with low self esteem do this as the saying goes 'you get the kind of love you think you deserve'. In cases like these where guys use good girls as stepping stones, but go for a beautiful 'bitch', this thing applies as well. For many women, they'd too ignore and not value a romantic, well behaved, respectful, loving and kind guy and go for someone who's unavailable, rude or something else like that.

I detest "bitches" there is absolutely nothing! more unattractive than a mean, rude, cruel, trashy, condescending, and apathetic person. Your could be the most attractive person in the world. The minute you open your mouth and let that out, Nosferatu becomes more appealing and attractive.
