PLEASE HELP!!! I’m so confused. why a boy who has eye contact suddenly avoid me?

I saw this boy at the bus stop who I always see him few days in a week. We don’t know each other. We even have eye contact for months and things gotten intense, he would stand near me, he even nod his head to greet me and sometimes raise his eye brow when I smiled under my mask. 😷 but sometimes he didn’t have any reaction.

One day I got a really bad swollen eye, so I only take quick glances as I don’t want him to see my ugly swollen eye… he seems sad that I didn’t look longer. The next day he just started avoiding me and don’t look at me for about 2 weeks now. I’m feeling so confused and upset as I thought there is something solid between us. What should I do and I have fallen for him.

How can you think that there is something "solid" between yourself and this boy if you never talk to him?

Something solid would mean that there are reciprocated feelings and not just a one-sided crush. If you don't talk to each other, how can you make sure that he likes you too?

My wildest guess is that he got scared when he saw you with your swollen eye and that he thought that you have Covid or a contagious disease.

Rather than speculate, why don't you just initiate the contact and say something like

"I could not help noticing that you kept eye contact with me. By the way, my name is XYZ and I just got rid of an eye infection. I hope I did not scare you off".

This would be a nice ice breaker. Take the initiative otherwise, he may lose interest.

Yes, he is a shy guy. He don’t like to look at anyone except me. So I thought he might be comfortable with me, didn’t know one incident that I pushed him away. So I don’t know what is he thinking.
