The boy I like seems to avoid me. How come?

He used to stare at me and smile and he does still look at me a lot sometimes but if I talk or join in a conversation he sighs and goes on his phone and just disengages, i figured maybe because when i speak im usually speaking about a boy im talking to / a boy who sent me a nude / an experience with a boy. or something along those lines. but why does he care? When other girls do it he listens and doesn’t bother. a guy hit on me infront of him and i just laughed quite hysterically at him (he was being cringe) and my friend told me to give him my snapchat or she would do it for me and I said to her “don’t give it to him, he’s ugly” and my crush just looked at me and stared. would this have made me seem cold? i texted my crush on snapchat later that day and he was very dry and eventually ignored me. why does he dislike me so much? he’s nice and makes effort to speak to everyone but me. he does watch all my Snapchat stories and stuff so he mustn’t completely hate me :/

It may be because of all that talk that you mentioned above, of other boys, where he realized he never thought he would have been good enough compared to those other people who have more guts than him and decided to let then have you. If this really concerns you that much, one day, ask him to meet you somewhere alone, and ask him to go out with you. Then his answer will determine the truth

but if they had the confidence to send you a naked pic then doesn't talk or just avoids you after then chances are he's not interested in you or he's not confident in person... try initiating when in private

He just doesn’t like you. There can be lots of reasons but don’t waste your time by trying to figure out why. Just accept it that you two will never be together
