Would it be stupid to ask a guy if he identifies as a “sad boy” since his online activity seems like he is?

So I’m casually seeing this guy and I really was liking him but I came across his Instagram and he has a lot of posts referring to “sad boy” aesthetic stuff.. like the musicians, the style, etc.. particularly the music. “Sad boys” take pleasure in being depressed and are honestly miserable people in my opinion. My ex called himself a sad boy all the time, he was so unbelievably toxic.. he’d ghost me for hours to a day and post on Twitter he was having “sad boi hours” and then he’d take it out on me eventually. It was a volatile relationship because he was self indulgent in his pain and enjoyed being miserable and did not want to change. It made me incredibly depressed and eventually he did become abusive too.

So, now I avoid these guys like the plague. But then I came across this guy’s social media and I see traces of this on his page... should I confront him or does this sound silly?
