My ex flirted with a friend?

My ex and I have gone two break ups. Mostly because of long-distance. One in November 2021 (mutual decisión) and another one month ago while I as in his hometown city, I told him that it’s better if we are friends because we share a buisness together and I don’t want to mix things. I regret telling him that because I want him back and miss him like crazy.

anyways, two friends of mine went to a party and my ex happen to be there. I’ve always noticed that my ex kind of liked this friend of mine and he said to her “you’re so pretty it’s a shame you’re Danielle’s friend) I’m Danielle.
i felt awful when my other best friend told me and I confronted my ex which he completely denied and told me that he was really drunk and don’t remember anything.

I need advice because I’m heartbroken even though he’s my ex and I ended things, I regret everything and we continue to have communication everyday but I feel betrayed by him.

Ok you broke up with him, he made a comment that one of your friends is hot but recognized that there is a boundary that he did not cross, even drunk.
So how will you feel when he meets the love of his life that is someone you don't know.
Will that be OK, or is it just you don't want to be with him but still have feelings for him, but you really don't want him to be with anyone else.
Kind of seems like you want it both ways.
Remember you tossed him aside, what one person's trash is another person's treasure.

He told my friend that comment, that night my friend didn’t reciprocate his attention, what I keep thinking what would have happened if she wanted to flirt with him as well, they may have ended having sex. The intention is what matters…

I regret the break up that’s why I care and I want him back :(

Well talk to him before it is too late.
Explain how you feel, but after 2 break ups you should understand if he is hesitant about getting back together.

Sounds pretty shitty of him to me, especially knowing she’s your friend, he did not need to take it there and used drunkenness as an excuse to express the feelings he’s had probably for a long time. It definitely is hurtful and more incentive to keep him as an ex. The distance is still a factor, as is him being your business partner, which may make dealing with him harder in the future.
