Guy knows where my home is without me telling him?

I live in the college dormitory and we were talking about where we are from. I mentioned the area I'm from and he said the apartment where my home is. I was like how do you know that and he said he has a friend from that very same apartment. I don't know if this is a believable explanation. He seemed very normal during the entire interaction.

Nope it's a huge apartment and I don't know his friend. He did give me his friends full name though.
