Why did he not reply?

I started seeing a guy right before he had to leave the country. We are trying the whole long distance thing. My last texts mentioned something about this being difficult and that I missed him, to which I got no reply. I'm wondering how come? (I have noticed that he is not forthcoming with his emotions) Should I ask him how he feels or just let it slide?

I don't want to sound pessimistic, but he's left the country and probably believes that it is not going to work long term. Maybe he's already checked out. How long were you seeing him for? Ultimately how is it going to work if you don't even live in the same country? That distance is just too far.

Ask him what the matter is, I dont really believe in long distance relationships tbh tho. He might be busy too, so you never know
