Why didn’t he reply?

So I haven’t seen my crush in about a month, almost 2. He’d usually view all my Instagram stories, he’d hardly miss one until recently since he went back to school (mid August), which is understandable. He’s very busy with work and school. So I finally messaged him a meme on Instagram about a situation we were in before. He replied a few hours later and briefly commented on the meme but then asked me how I was doing. I replied with updating him, asked him how he was doing, and he replied with how he’s really busy with work, school, and his martial arts training. All these replies where within a few hours. I then asked him how many classes he’s taking yesterday morning and he has yet to reply. He viewed my Instagram stories from yesterday though. Why do you think he hasn’t replied? Does he seem interested to you?

If he’s very busy with work and school, why would you think he has time for a woman and dating? One thing you must always keep in mind when choosing to pursue someone is that it’s your choice. You’re in a place in your life where you feel like you’re ready to prioritize a man, amongst other things. But it doesn’t mean he’s also in that place, and he’ll demonstrate this with his actions, like the things you’re experiencing. It does not mean he doesn’t find you attractive or enjoy flirting with you, he just may not intend for things to go any further than what they are now. Only way to know for sure is to be direct with him, but since you’re probably unwilling to do that, then I’d ‘take the hint’.

Which I understand. But he viewed my stories… I just find it weird. Maybe I already cured his curiosity by letting him know what I’ve been up to. Maybe he viewed my story because they expire, the message will still be waiting for him.

I hate to go all Old Guy on ya, but looking at your Intagram stories has nothing to do with anything. It doesn't mean he's interested or not, it's not a measure of anything. I am going to tell you why he probably hasn't responded. GUYS HATE TEXTING, it's boring, it's a royal beating. Frankly, I'd rather fight a hippo than have a protracted text 'convo'.
Most girls either just don't believe it or don't care. But if you can somehow absorb this fact your life will become much easier.

Good to know. Yeah, he’s a good conversationalist in person. Always asking me questions and really listening to my answers. I think he did mention that he doesn’t really text before, not even his friends.

Think of texting like this: guys think in a linear, efficient way (for the most part) Is there anything even resembling linear about a text thread. Remember texting was originally intended for users to exchange short bits of Information, not long drawn out emotional conversations. With texting you are eliminating over 75% of your overall message (no voice inflection or tone, no body language to complete your message.)
