You aren't wrong - I have customers in 3 distinct areas of the Bay Area that are wealthy, so I see 3 different circles of wealthy people that has little cross-over with the others, and one thing that's obvious is that their wives are almost universally thin - I can only think of one who has a heavier wife. Wealthy husbands expect their wives to stay fit and healthy, and they have no problem spending money on healthier foods, and most have home gyms, or at least gym memberships, and some even have their own personal trainers.

National surveys have shown that wealthy men marry thin women, and those women tend to stay thin, because in their circles of friends, that's the expectation.

Sure, you may have a wealthy athlete or musician who made money fairly quickly, who has a heavier wife, but that's very much the exception to the rule, and it's going to be someone who didn't grow up wealthy, but became wealthy later in life after growing up with values not typical of wealthy people.

Wealthy men always choose thin women. I know men like this all over the country and their preferences remain identical. No woman would be caught dead overweight in a cocktail dress.
