Can two desperate people make each other happy?

They say if you're desperate then you end up attracting people who will ignore you or not respect you.

But what if both are desperate for each other?

I met a cute guy online tried my shot and he's as excited to talk to me.
He's desperate too because even if I don't say something he texts something always, keep asking questions and always ready to talk.

We just met online a day ago.
He is being more friendly as compared to me. I'm getting so turned on.

I'm literally so desperate and tired of being devoid of male affection for years.

Will this casual affair be good or should I back down?

The thing is I have the ability to commit and stick to my word. That's why I only chose one guy, if I were disloyal combined with desperate then I would have been in many men's DM. I only am fixated at one person but can't say the same for him. That's why I'm not taking it to my heart unless I'm sure.

You're right, thanks. After a nap, I suddenly felt bad that why am I doing this? I'm not the type to encourage guys who are this desperate at first meeting. But loneliness got the best of me, it will take time to resist it and I'm also someone who wants long term relationships forever, but seeing how real world is, I feel it's impossible to find someone as loyal and honest.

I am not saying you can't date the guy. Just don't ignore any red flags and don't rush through relationship milestones. Take the time to get to know him properly; so you don't end up surprised by who is later on.

If you're truly "desperate" (which is a word I don't think should be used in most cases as a lot of the time it's not actually that), but you have to be careful you don't make the wrong choices (ie just be with the first person that comes along, and you aren't really attracted to them or like them even). But if that's not the case, great! Also (in your case right now especially), communication is a MUST. If you see this as an "affair" or fling, as long as you're honest with him about relationship intentions, then it's fine. It's only when you selfishly use them that it's wrong (ie let them believe it might be something more when you have no intentions of that from the start).
