Umm so what should I do?

I met this guy on a dating app. We didn't really text much but suddenly he asked me if I could meet him for breakfast and we had a good time together. After 3 days we again met each other and we had a terrific time again too. But the thing is I don't know if it was a date or a hangout. He didn't really flirt w me but the way he looks at me is kinda different although I'm not really sure if he's interested or he's just a friendly person. I'm not sure how to check if he's interested in me and I'm afraid of asking him/making a move.

omg this is also my fear when it comes to dating men and holding off on the sexual tension, cause if it's not actively present, yes, it does leave you confused if there is chemistry. the best time to know if this is romantic is when he makes you laugh and the way you look in each other's eyes as you're laughing. but if he doesn't make you laugh, eh, I've been on many dates where he doesn't say anything funny and is just a nice person. guys are nervous though, so it's really about when you feel like there is a connection there, maybe talking about music or movies or something about where you are at the date, then you plant a hint that you are feeling them. but most of the time, this is hard to push cause in actuality, there is no chemistry and you missed the point of joining the app, the very least i can suggest is ask for a hug and don't let go, and see what that does.

If he's got no other "women" he's "talking to", then it's likely a date but remember it's a dating app which likely means there's other women. You could call it a date but that just means it's "dating", not an exclusive relationship. I would just call it that right now unless he says otherwise. I'm not him though so, just ask him. See what he says. He would know better what HE WANTS than I would, right?

Well I don't know if he considers our meeting a date or a hangout and I really think I'll look stupid if I ask him directly, that's the problem

Well guys don't go out with woman just to "hang out". If he goes out with you, then he wants it to turn in to something romantic. He is probably shy and you are going to have to guide him. You say that you are worried about looking stupid but he is probably worried about looking stupid too. So, tell him how you feel and lean in for a kiss. Good luck.
