Am I wrong for ignoring?

So I’ve been chatting with this guy for over a week now he initiates all the conversations and types long sentences! The only problem is he won’t call me? I ask him to, he says he will but still continues to text me instead? I ignored him due to this yet he still keeps texting? Should I just ghost him? Why won’t he call me? no he’s not a catfish.

If you're not getting what you want then it's time to move on. But I would lay it out to him that talking to him and hearing him is very important to you and if he can't or won't call you then it's time to end this friendship

Some people don't like calling/don't feel comfortable with it. You either respect his comfort or leave.
