Could a man start being like his crush?

I am very awkward socially and very quiet and probably do have aspergers.
My 40 year old work crush has been acting so awkward lately. With me at least! He used to be kinda smooth and complimented me many times in ways that touched me and made me think. But now lately he is always mumbling to me, he seems nervous around me at times, I don't know he's making me feel uncomfortable. Imagine that... Being so awkward that you make a well known awkward girl feel awkward.
