Why do so many men like Joe Rogan?

There's an idea that guys like the man, Joe Rogan. There's perhaps SOME truth there, but that's not why his shows are successful. The shows aren't ABOUT Joe at all.
Joe does his best to pull in guests from all sides of a topic - sometimes people will refuse his invitations, but he'll extend invitations to everyone relevant to a topic of the day regardless of their level of fame or their political affiliation. That is RARE in today's media, which is mostly NOT AT ALL interested in a balanced discussion.
Then, he holds a LONG conversation with those guests, typically about 3 hours. This means that the people who come to talk really need to know what they're talking about, because they're not going to get away with spouting out a couple of quick soundbites that someone else wrote for them.
Finally, Joe is pretty good about not letting people get away with answers that are obviously BS - he'll ask pointed questions and he'll call BS when they're obviously lying or ignoring major evidence, and he'll often expose major contradictions or major areas of incompetence, because the guests can't hide on a 3-hour discussion like they can on a 4-minute cable news interview.
It's refreshing to hear interviews that don't insult the IQ of the listener, and where obvious bias and spin is called out - even for people you agree with.
Joe fully admits that he's not the smartest guy around, and that he's made mistakes and held opinions in the past that he no longer agrees with, after learning more and seeing other perspectives. Not many people in the media can admit when they were wrong, so that's also refreshing.
And that's why he has the biggest podcast in the world.
This
It probably has something to do with him being a success with his business and just casually conducting interviews with all sorts of people, asking questions and pondering things while smoking marijuana on his podcast.
Thanks for Most Helpful. š
It's not so much that they like Joe himself, but his podcast is great. He gets interesting people on and just lets them talk. It's very informative. My husband loves learning new things and listens to Joe all the time, then gives me the rundown of things. It's pretty neat, really.
Iāve liked some episodes and disliked others. Heās just an honest guy having a conversation m, heās not showing off some fat degree or demanding PCness or anything. Heās just talking

He definitely comes off as very authentic and pretty much "as real as they get" for a celebrity. He's willing to sit down and have respectful, honest conversations with literally anyone on the planet so while I don't personally watch his podcast often, it's so easy to get people to tune into an episode or two because chances are he's spoken to somebody that they support/like. Apart from that, his comedy specials are super relatable and hilarious, and he is the staple of the UFC. For any fan of that company who has watched for at least 2+ years, he is the voice of the entire company, and one that is synonymous with its greatest moments of the last 20+ years. For old people like me, he also was the host of Fear Factor, so there may even be a nostalgic factor there! This makes it sound like I'm his biggest fan lol but I actually don't really follow him (I am a big UFC fan though) I just know a bit about pop culture and I respect his place in it even if right now it's a controversial topic.
He's funny. He knows he's dumb. He has a huge variety of guests, many are interesting. He lets his guests talk, long form, not compress their stories into two minutes with an interviewer who is reading questions from a list and not listening to the answers. He doesn't usually approach topics with firm fixed unchanging opinions.
Honestly, you'd have to listen to him to get it. If you watch a couple of tiny clips cut to make him look bad by people with an axe to grind, you're never going to get it.
It's not "an obsession." It's simple: He's honest and truthful, highly disciplined, can kick your ass, has manners and respect for others despite this, is willing to question the world around him, and can admit he doesn't have all the answers or display humility to listen to other viewpoints different from his own.
I don't even listen to The Joe Rogan Experience (or any podcast; three hours is too damn long for me), but he's a guy very clearly worthy of respect in today's culture of mainstream media's literal propaganda and gaslighting, weak soyboys who call themselves "men" and man-hating women who think they're oppressed and "girlbosses" at the same time. It seems like most people involved in the UFC, including Gina Carano, seem to be disciplined but humble people. I HIGHLY respect that. Though Ronda Rousey can get f*cked.
Joe Rogan covers a variety of topics and brings people from both (or multiple) sides of any given issue to discuss. He doesn't usually push viewpoints like most other podcasts that cover politics do, and he's on good terms with pretty much everyone on the right that mutually disagree on subjects as well as most people on the left who aren't just pandering without reasoning. In other words, people like him because he's just a regular guy who likes to talk to people about pretty much anything and doesn't pretend to be an expert on subjects he doesn't actually know much about.
Personally, I think he's best as a host/moderator for debates between other people, and to occasionally interject and force the conversation into terms anyone could understand. If he worked for me and his show needed to have a schtick, that would be it.
Joe Rogan represents what men have not been allowed to be in recent years and that is men. Masculine, masculinity he's intelligent articulate and a certified badass Takes no s***, can't be canceled cuz he doesn't give a damn. Can't be labeled racist because some of the very people who accused him of being racist were the first to come to his defense. He's versatile in his topics he's open-minded he is not conservative nor liberal he is as independent as anyone I've seen and he tries to understand both sides of any arguments before making his own judgments. Joe is a man's man
Simply put Joe doesnāt act like he knows everything so he actively listens, converses with, and asks questions of his guests that his audience would actually like to hear. His content is uncensored and raw and nothing gets cut. There is no framing and no prepared intent to the conversation. He is able to humanize godlike figures and make legends of people that youāve never heard or.
People like Joe because he is just a regular guy that accidentally became the most influential person in the free world.
I don't really pay attention to Joe Rogan... so I don't really know. But seems to me that he's candid with his opinions and he doesn't fall into this cancel culture, touchy feely, anti-shame, type bull shit that use against all completely rational and sane types see through but remain silent.
Well, if I had to guess, I would say it's because he is a tremendously successful guy who entertains a lot of people and just generally seems like a good guy.
He's disciplined, phenomenally intelligent, well spoken, in great shape, distinctly masculine, successful, funny (at least to a lot of people). There's a lot to admire there.
Most men on TV or youtube are not that masculine anymore, they're all wimps. Joe used to commentate on UFC fights, he's a trained fighter himself.
Women might not get it but men are more likely to respect a man who thinks and acts like a man, especially when there are so few of them.
I don't have much of an opinion on Joe Rogan, the man. But I respect the platform he's built, and his ability to get interesting conversations out of interesting people. I like that he kinda riffs on a breadth of topics, which allows the experts he brings on to either add to his inputs, or to educate him on where he's seeing things wrong.
Think what you want of him, I disagree with many of his views since Iām vegetarian, but I still respect and appreciate him for always giving the other side a chance and having open convos on controversial subjects. Most of the content out there is so one sided
He is honest, genuine, and is open about what he's gone through and how hard things are for him. He is incredibly kind and helps others better there life. He leads with love and tries not to judge people but instead figures things out with empathy. He's also hilarious a real man's man.
cause he's just genuine and raw. he just says what he "really" thinks and doesn't bend what he says to what's socially acceptable. he's not scared of having an unpopular opinion. it's unlike most of the PC bullshit you find online.
And it's not being raw and genuine itself that makes him special. it's the fact that he manages not to get cancelled for it, which makes him stand out.
Because heās real and straightforward. Our society is so full of fake people propagating BS and lying to everyoneās faces. Joes a breath of fresh air. A normal everyday guy calling out the craziness that everyone else is afraid to.
Bella I don't have a man crush on Rogan but I do think he's a good interviewer on his podcast. I certainly don't agree with some of his opinions, but I like the format of his show where there is an in depth discussion with his guest.
😊😁😎🙋āāļø
He's a great interviewer
He's funny but not over the top (in his podcasts)
He's intellectually curious and isn't super attached to any particular ideas/ideology
He comes off as a friendly dude
He does some badass shit.
What's NOT to like about him?
He speaks plainly and doesn't beat around the bush If you don't like honesty then your plain out of luck with Joe.
And he is willing to have anyone on the show and let them talk just about any subject which is why Youtube doesn't like him, Left - Middle - Right, politically he'd interview them all.
But it seems that is is The Intersectional/Identitarian Woke Left who have the most problems with his Interview anyone style.
They don't.
He's like that joker friend we all have that says something funny or entertaining now and then. But we don't invite them to parties or our houses.
Well, a lot of people like him.
Especially during these times, heās a voice of reason and logic. Heās not afraid of interviewing people that others may have canceled.
Maybe because kook Alex Jones is under indictment?
https://edition.cnn.com/interactive/2022/06/politics/alex-jones-infowars-fringe-to-frontline/
Is a wise guy who knows what heās talking about he has a verity of guests on ranging from Ben Shapiro to Bernie sanders heās also pretty centrist so itās nice to listen to a podcast where the host isnāt left for right on all issues
Heās just a likeable guy I don't know. Heās very open minded and always has interesting people on his show that I feel like I can learn a lot from. I personally love his podcast. Heās kinda a guys guy tho being into mma and weight lifting and all that tho. Heās smartish but heās more open minded than he is smart. He has a really cool channel and I love watching it.
Because heās a no nonsense kind of guy who doesnāt give a f😉ck about political correctness.
Of course I donāt agree with everything he says (specifically his attitude towards Catholics) but he is very honest nonetheless and he isnāt afraid to criticize the āpowers that beā. Here is one of my favorite videos of his.
I have really never listened to him very much but I guess people like the fact that he tells it like it is and is not in bed with either the democrats or the republicans.
Because his shows are interesting, he's open minded and has a wide array of different guests.
Why shouldn't people like him?
I want to know this too, my ex ALWAYS watched him and I would get annoyed because things I would tell him, he didnāt show interest until JR mentioned. 🙄 lol
Heās an ex, I donāt want him back.
He's down to Earth.
He listens to all sides.
If he disagrees with you he's not cancelling you.
He stands up for what he believes.
He's a good fighter.
He's a funny guy.
Heās funny, eccentric, and authentic. He speaks his mind without a filter, and he does interviews covering a lot of humorous or interesting topics. Heās good at keeping men entertained. 🍻
Dudes who are Joe fans are always super insecure and defensive. I only know like 3 of them tho so obv just anecdotal
Has interesting conversations with people from different walks of life. Something that a lot of people canāt do these days. Once two people disagree on something these days it results with them being at each otherās throats
Because he says and asks stuff people want to say but are too afraid to. He invites people of all perspectives onto his show because, while trying not to put words in his mouth, he believes that all perspectives must be addressed, even from people our society has deemed not worth being heard such as Alex Jones and Dr. Malone.
All in all he is a man of principle and I respect him for that.
He has had some good content over the years, supposedly he has changed a little and seems to like the sound of his own voice, but guys in general have always supported talk back radio, so he fills a niece, fighter, masculine content. It's what young men are going to pay some attention too, not all will like it, but I think he has a target audience, and it's quite large.
Itās not specifically joe Rogan. Guys like anyone with a podcast who cusses a lot. Even my dad watches so many different podcasts on YouTube.
He doesn't force is views on anyone. He invites people from all walks of life to have a conversation, and let his viewers/listeners form their own opinion
I don't know why they like him but the Only thing i know about him is that he hosted Fear Factor. I don't know anything else about that man 🤣
He keeps it real with facts and studies what he talks about. He isn't set in stone either. He's a good role model for many
He's been in the public eye (mainly male) for decades now. Since fear factor. Since hosting thousands of MMA events, Since having the largest podcast for guys in the world. He is a man's man, he has integrity, stands up for what he believes in and most kmpoetsntly has the character to admit when he's wrong and have long form discussion about the topic. He is a great guy although I don't agree with most of what he utters.
Because he asks genuine probing questions and will call people out on bullshit at least sometimes. A few times he didn't and i was pissed at him.
Also respect he's had a few different careers and interests and been successful at them all. Props. So its not like he's just some loser.
Haha this question making me cry laughing. I don't get the obsession with him either 😂
I don't like him personally.
He's just Gwyneth Paltrow for men, and he talks a lot of garbage.
The only thing I will listen to him talk about is martial arts, it's like the one thing he actually knows about.
I heard Joe Rogan a little bit before. Joe is a practical guy and has people on his podcast show that can relate to the common man and I think that causes an appeal to young men besides the fact Joe Rogan is a funny comedian.
Yes, that's what I would like to know as well. Why? What's so great about him?
Because he's one of the few people on media who's fucking honest. He's not always right but at least he's honest.
"Joe does his best to pull in guests from all sides of a topic - sometimes people will refuse his invitations, but he'll extend invitations to everyone relevant to a topic of the day regardless of their level of fame or their political affiliation. That is RARE in today's media, which is mostly NOT AT ALL interested in a balanced discussion."

I don't know why
All I remember him from when was the very 1st host of Fear Factor in the early 2000s
Honesty, I thought he was dead
because he's willing to talk with anyone on either side of the political line and have an honest conversion with them.
Joe mama rogaanin on this di-
oh wait, I don't know who the hell that is... who is he?
I used to watch clips of JRE on YouTube regularly before he went to Spotify. I liked him because he just seems like a chill dude who brings interesting guests on his show.
Never cared for him bit he's telling truths corrupt rejects wanna keep quiet so people like him. He got cancelled off all platforms, why would you cancel him off everything if what he say's is a lie?
I've never listened to him, but I love how he drives CNN nuts. CNN+ was gone in 30 days, but Rogan just keeps going. š
@NYCQuestions1976 yup lol he is doing something right when you got the liberal lying media going after you hahaha
The media and politicians overplay their hand all the time. They always act like they have a royal flush. Meanwhile, they have the 2 jokers, the pinochle instructions, and 2 PokƩmon cards... and there's a mirror behind their seat at the table. lol
@NYCQuestions1976 thats what makes them all clowns cause everyone can openly see their moves lol
Until recently, I only knew that he was a commentator for UFC.
He's entertaining and works to a notion of not giving a fuck which is a system most people want to be in but they have issues that precent such a carefree attitude like jobs with bosses and bosses of bosses etc etc
He's a voice of reason in these chaotic times. Plus he was the host of Fear Factor, you don't mess with him or he'll make you eat worms 🤪.
Because he speaks the language of every pathetic incel who is losing their hair.
Just get some propecia! It's only $50 for three months worth.
I know a lot of women that like him to. Because he just asked questions. Better reporting than 99% of "reporters" out there.
He's a alpha man and go getter.
He's fit
He's rich
He can fight
He has great friends
He works for him self
He can Afford to speak the truth
He's motivational
A true alpha and not a faux alpha
I don't know but how else would this funny shit on this channel get made 😂 https://youtube.com/c/PINGTR1P
I stay away from guys who like Joe Rogan 😬 guys who like him are usually drug users and misogynists.
Called it
I don't know, I don't like his voice during the commentating
Donāt know, in all honesty I think he is arrogant as f.
i donāt like him really i think heās a douchey LA bro, his guests are really what make his show. if it werenāt for him i wouldnāt know about tim dillon or joey diaz who are my favorite comics now.
He's a dude, he seems chill, he runs a great podcast with interesting guests.
Give this man MHG
