We just met and I thought he liked me, but then he didn't text me like I expected?

Met him two weeks ago. First time, I didn’t pay much attention to him, but I knew he was interested. Second time, we started talking and he asked me out on a date, but I couldn’t bc I had other plans that day.

He texted me the next day but then never replied back to me. I don’t understand why since he was way more interested on me than I was on him. Now I’m just confused.

What was the text? Some texts just really don't need a reply. Another thing is if you texted at a bad time say when he was sleeping or maybe he was just busy.

Just ask him. "hey why have you not gotten back to me" I don't know.

Text him again, and see if he replies. If he doesn't, than move on.
